As a specialist in obstetrics and gynecology, she is committed to practicing with care and compassion. Her particular areas of interest include pelvic ultrasound and adolescent gynecology.

Dr. Michelle Backus earned her medical degree from the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in 2000.  She completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at New York University's School of Medicine and became licensed as a Wisconsin physician and surgeon in 2004.

.Dr. Backus lives in Whitefish Bay with her husband and two young children.  She enjoys family time on the beach, cooking and travel to nearby Michigan to visit family.
